STUDENT VISA (500)
The Student visa allows you to reside in Australia temporarily for the purpose of formal education, provided you are enrolled in a recognised Australian course. The duration of the visa is tailored to the length and type of your chosen program, potentially allowing a stay of up to five years, with options to apply for subsequent visas to extend your studies.
Holders of this visa benefit from multiple travel rights to and from Australia and are permitted to work, subject to specific hours and conditions. Furthermore, you have the ability to bring eligible family members to Australia. If you apply while already in Australia, you may be granted a Bridging visa, permitting you to remain in the country while your application is processed.
To satisfy the visa requirements, you must be formally enrolled in a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) and hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of your stay. A critical element is demonstrating that you are a Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE), meaning your primary purpose for being in Australia is to study. You must also prove you have the necessary financial capacity to cover course fees, living expenses, and international airfares. Additionally, applicants must meet the required English standards, as well as standard health, character and compliance requirements.

TEMPORARY GRADUATE VISA (485)
The Temporary Graduate visa is designed for international students who have recently completed their studies in Australia, offering a post-study opportunity to live and work for a period ranging from 18 months up to four years.
This visa grants the holder full work rights in Australia and allows for multiple trips into and out of the country. Furthermore, you can include eligible family members on the application. A Bridging visa may be issued, allowing you to remain lawfully in Australia while your application is being processed.
Applicants must be under 50 years old and must have held a Student visa, or one that expired within the last six months. The course completed must be a recognised degree, diploma, or trade qualification that satisfies the Australian Study Requirement, meaning it required at least two academic years of study conducted in Australia and was completed in no less than 16 months. Depending on your country of citizenship, you may also need to meet minimum English proficiency standards. Special concessions, including lowered eligibility thresholds and extended stay periods, may be available for graduates who possess skills critical to Australia’s current demands. All applicants must also meet the general requirements for health, character, and compliance.

STUDENT GUARDIAN VISA (590)
The Student Guardian visa permits a parent, custodian, or relative to enter Australia to provide care and support for a student enrolled in an Australian education course. The visa is temporary, with its length tied directly to the duration of the associated Student Visa or until the student turns 18.
Holders of the Subclass 590 have the right to travel in and out of Australia multiple times, although if the guardian travels without the student, suitable welfare arrangements must be clearly demonstrated. Guardians may also bring their own dependent child to Australia, provided that child is under six years old. A key restriction of this visa is that working is strictly prohibited.
The guardian must be at least 21 years old if they are not the student's parent, and they must maintain health insurance for their entire stay. Applicants must satisfy the Department that they are a Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) whose primary intention is to act as a guardian. They must also prove that they have sufficient financial resources to cover the living costs and expenses for themselves, the student, and any accompanying children. Additionally, all applicants must meet the standard requirements for health, character, and compliance.
